The Architecture
The typical Canary Island architecture was heavily influenced by Andalusian and Portuguese styles, from the stately mansions to the most humble and common homes although its own strength of character shows through. The characteristics of this style are balconies, interior courtyards, simple facades, and the widespread use of wood mainly the indigenous pine tree.
