Tenerife, a world to discover
Tenerife stands out amongst other Canary Islands provinces, partly because it is the largest of the seven islands, but also because it is situated at the centre of the archipelago, 300 kilometers off the West coast of Africa, and 1.500 kilometers southwest of the Iberian Peninsula.
You can discover delightful towns such as La Orotava, La Laguna and National Park Canadas, visit the capital city Santa Cruz, follow the well-known wine trails, or enjoy the silence of Tenerife's volcanic gorges...
This volcanic island, with its strange triangular shape, has an area of 2.057 square kilometers with 269 kilometers of coastline.
Tenerife is dominated by Spain's highest peak, the 3.718 meter high Teide volcano which towers above the island separating North from South and conferring upon each part unusually different climate. The sun is a major feature in all seasons but the North is slightly cooler and greener than the more desert-like South.

With two airports, Los Rodeos in the North and Reina Sofia in the South, over 35.000 beds in four and five star hotels and an exceptional tourism infrastructure, this Atlantic isle has turn into the annual holiday destination for over four million visitors.
Tenerife has an affluence of interesting and diverse things to do. With six courses open and several major projects in the pipeline the island joins the elite world of golfing destinations. From its fresh coastal waters it is possible to get a close view of whales and dolphins in their usual habitat and, by contrast, the animated; the colorful Carnival in February is amongst the most impressive in the world.
WEATHER: The weather is very smooth all year around, moderate and warm at any time of the year. The average temperatures are throughout the year, oscillating between the 20 degrees in winter and the 25 in summer.
