Where is the hotel located?
The hotel is located in the southeast of the Dominican Republic between the cities of Santo Domingo and La Romana. It is 50 kilometers from Santo Domingo Airport (45 minutes) and 25 kilometers (35 minutes) from La Romana Airport.

The best and safest means of transport is the taxi service, which has a base in the hotel.
Is it dangerous to travel alone?
It is not dangerous. If you travel alone, however, it is advisable to use means of transport run by official companies.
Are there any towns or cities nearby?
The nearest town is San Pedro de Macoris (12 km). The city which gives the resort its name, La Romana, is a little further away (20 km.). It is also possible to visit the capital, Santo Domingo, which is 65 km away.
What is the climate usually like?
The climate is tropical and therefore warm and fairly humid during most of the year. The average temperature is usually around 25º C, although the nights in winter are cool.
Does it rain a lot?
Unlike the north of the country, it does not rain very often. However, rain may easily fall during one or two days every week. These are tropical rain showers that tend to last for a couple of hours.
When is the tropical storm season?
From June to October. Generally speaking, they are not dangerous, though this does depend on the strength of the storm and the possibility of it turning into a hurricane. The hotel is perfectly equipped to deal with this kind of rainfall and to date it has not suffered any damages during all the storms that have affected it.
