1. Full payment with credit card
You can pay in a completely secure manner using your usual credit card. This option is always available, however please note that the charge made against the card will be for the full amount of the booking and many banks limit card purchases to €600. Make sure your balance is sufficient for the operation.
1. VeriSign Certificate
The payment gateway is managed by Viajes GTI, a company belonging to Grupo Piñero that has been certified by the independent entity, VeriSign. This guarantees the confidentiality of the data you send, as security experts independent from Bahía Príncipe Clubs & Resorts have verified that a suitable encryption protocol is used.
2. Pages with the padlock icon = confidentiality
When you access pages in which personal data are requested you will see that a padlock icon appears in the footer of your browser, as shown in the two illustrations below. Internet Explorer 7 Mozilla Firefox 2.0

This is proof that your browser has acknowledged that you are in a secure zone and that the data you exchange with Bahía Príncipe Clubs & Resorts via the secure gateway cannot be seen by third parties. This is possible because we use an advanced encryption protocol (SSL, Secure Sockets Layer) to protect the information you give us.
In practice, your data are ciphered automatically and can only be deciphered by the recipient. All the entities that collaborate with us in relation to payments use this protocol, thus guaranteeing maximum security for your data. This means that confidentiality is guaranteed: from the requested data, we only record those necessary to make the booking; the remainder are received in encrypted form by the banking entity.
3. HTTPS = Secure area
You can also verify www.bahia-principe.com's security by observing the address toolbar on your browser: you will note that the address of pages in which we request personal data no longer appears as http://www.bahia-principe.com but rather https://www.bahia-principe.com. This allows you to check that you have accessed the payment gateway and that you are on a secure site that uses the SSL protocol (the 's' in the address identifies it as such).
