The chain was named Global Award Winner, 2008 by the prestigious Check Safety First
Bahía Príncipe C&R, has been named the hotel chain with the best progression and regularity in maintenance of prevention systems for food hygiene and safety by Cristal Ibérica Consulting-Grupo Check Safety First Ltd.
The annual awards given by Check Safety First, a firm with more than twenty years experience in the sector, have given it a leading position in terms of quality and service. The awards are based on strict audits and protocols that follow the standards set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and those set by the International Federation of Tour Operators (IFTO).
The award, given only to those companies that attain the highest standards in food safety and management, was presented at the central offices of Grupo Piñero in Palma to the company chairman Mr. Pablo Piñero.
The event was attended by Steve Tate, UK Managing Director for Check Safety First and José María Sánchez, Cristal Ibérica's Sales Manager for Spain and Portugal.
According to the chain's Managing Director, Fausto Sedano, this award is “recognition for the work we have been doing since the chain was founded, in all of the Bahía Príncipe C&R hotels: the implementation of best practices in the safety of the handling, preparation and treatment of food to obtain the highest quality standards and to guarantee the satisfaction and safety of our clients.”
